Before painting “Imagined Scenery,”I lost my father. I spent last days drawing him. It took three months drawing his figure by lithograph and painting over and over with oil painting. His image transformed into a different landscape. It could be called ‘kind hometown.’ It’s just the same meaning my name ‘優里(Yuri)’ has.
